Farms

WCL owns 7 farms with a total land area of 400 hectares, milking in excess of 1,200 cows. 5 of the farms are located at Waitoa and surround the Corporation’s processing facilities. 4 of these farms supply the Tatua Co-operative Dairy Company Limited and the other supplies Fonterra. In 2003 the Company built a feedpad and bunkers capable of feeding 500 cows at one time. This feedpad will feed approximately 800 tonne of maize in a calendar year. The other 2 farms are dry stock properties situated 15 kilometres from Hamilton.
